1. What voltages of the VDD, VDDIO and VCC are?
Answer:
VDD is OLED diver IC logical voltage. Different IC driver has different voltage range. For example, the voltage range of SSD1305 driver is 2.4-3.5V. VDDIO is the IO logical voltage. VCC is the OLED panel drive voltage. Different OLED panel has different voltage value.
2. What is the relation between power consumption, lifetime and brightness of OLED?
Answer:
Power consumption has a direct relation with the numbers of lighted pixels and panel’s brightness, less lighted pixels and lower brightness lead to lower consumption. Compare to LCD,which has backlight, OLED’s power consumption is much lower. The lifetime is inversely proportional to the brightness. The lower brightness, the longer lifetime.
3. What are the advantages of OLED?
Answer:
Compared to LCD, OLED has many advantages, for example, self-emission, no backlight,wide view-angle, light weight, thin thickness, high contrast, fast response time, wide temperature range, good aseismatic ability, simple processing technology and can implement flexible display.
4. Why does OLED have wide temperature operation range?
Answer:
The OLED luminescent materials are solid state, which physical characteristics are stable under different environment temperature. However, the crystal is a special material between solid state and liquid state, which physical characteristics would be changed at too high or low temperature. When the crystal physical characteristics changed ,the display effects will be seriously influenced.
5. What is the difference of drive interface between OLED and LCD?
Answer:
OLED I/O interface is the same with LCD, which can easily connect in application. It can support 8080/6800 series parallel interface, SPI and I²C interface.
6. What is the difference of software between OLED and LCD?
Answer:
The software development of OLED and LCD are basically the same; our FAEs will provide reference code to help customers for embedded software development.
7. What should be pay attention to during OLED structural designing?
Answer:
OLED’s substrate and cap are made of thin glass, so that during structural designing , PCB,shock-proof PE or structural orientation should be designed to fasten OLED module and strengthen products’ astigmatic ability.
8. What should be pay attention to during design DC-DC circuit for OLED panel driving?
Answer:
Normally, DC-DC load capacity need greater than the maximum power consumption of panel.We suggest that after the DC-DC circuit has finished design, it should be confirmed by our FAEs.
9. How to adjust the OLED display brightness?
Answer:
