Maintaining its powerfulness while becoming even lighter. On July 12, Honor held the launch event for its new Magic flagship product. Visionox supplies the Honor Magic V3 smartphones, enabling this new flagship foldable device to be both more lightweight and more powerful.

New extreme limit for lightweight

Following the introduction of the Honor Magic V2, which ushered foldable smartphones into the “Millimeter Era”, the Honor Magic V3 employs an innovative integrated architecture that breaks the record for lightweight foldable screens once again. In its folded state, the device measures only 9.2mm thick, and in its unfolded state, it measures just 4.35mm, with a total weight of 226g—truly achieving a design that feels “as light as a bar phone”.

Visionox utilizes Padbending R technology to reduce the thickness of the lower frame area. By optimizing the frame routing design, a narrower lower frame is achieved, further contributing to the overall lightweight of the device.

New Vision for Eye Protection

The Honor Magic V3 is equipped with an oasis eye protection screen, featuring industry-leading 3840Hz PWM dimming. Additionally, it introduces Honor's debut AI out-of-focus vision soothing technology, enhancing eye protection effectiveness.

The Honor Magic V3 also supports a 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive dynamic refresh rate, which lowers power consumption while enhancing display smoothness. With Visionox’s new VM7 material device system, power consumption is reduced by over 10% compared to the previous generation, and lifespan is increased by more than 10%, resulting in superior battery performance.

This collaboration has helped transition foldable smartphones from niche products to the mainstream market. On June 30, the Honor Magic V2, supplied by Visionox, was awarded the “Best Smartphone in Asia” at the 2024 MWC.
