ViP Enters a New Stage of Mass Industrial Application

Since its initiation, the 8.6th-generation production line  has maintained an efficient construction pace in Hefei Govisionox. The foundation for the production line was laid on September 25, 2024; the civil construction was commenced in February 2025, with the main factory building achieving its roof closure within just 168 days, setting a new record for construction speed of high-generation lines. On March 26, 2026, cleaning was began for the clean room of the main factory building, establishing a clean foundation for the installation of core equipment. On April 9, Visionox hosted a research and appraisal meeting for ViP technological achievements. Following evaluation by experts such as academicians Zhongcan Ouyang, Yong Cao, and He Tian from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the ViP technology was unanimously deemed to be "world-leading”. During the conference, Visionox announced that the upgraded G6 ViP production line at Hefei has already supplied ViP devices for Honor wearables, marking a shift from "bookshelf to shelf" and demonstrating the ViP technology's readiness for large-scale industrialization.

On April 15, Hefei Govisionox held a ceremony for the relocation of process equipment. As production line equipment was moved in, processes were established, and production capacity gradually ramped up. The production line will accelerate into a new phase of large-scale industrialization. As the world's first high-generation AMOLED production line equipped with the ViP technology, it has a designed capacity of 32,000 glass substrates (2,290 mm × 2,620 mm) per month, with a total investment of RMB 55 billion. The new production line can produce more sizes of AMOLED panels, covering a range of applications from small- to medium-large and from flat to 3D displays.
