Double Delight | Visionox's Two Technological Evolutions Won SID People's Choice Award Again

Author:     Release Time: 2026-05-08

Two Technologies Once Again Recognized by

SID People's Choice Award

On May 7 local time, Visionox's COE upgrade solution and ViP technology won the People's Choice Award at SID DW 2026. Both technologies were recognized with this award for the second time.

Visionox was rewarded for its technical breakthroughs when the award was presented for the first time. This time, Visionox further showcased its capabilities in constantly evolving its two core technologies: the COE solution, which has progressed to system-level optimization for high image quality on a "polarizer-free" basis, and ViP technology, which has been constantly upgraded into a next-generation AMOLED technology platform through technological innovation. As relevant technologies continue to evolve, and thanks to the efforts of Visionox, the strength of OLED is embodied not only in the excellent individual parameters, but also in the continuous progress of developing fundamental technologies and defining industrial development trends.

ViP

“Platform-Based Technology" Restructuring OLED Manufacturing Processes   ViP, Visionox's new-generation AMOLED "display platform" technology, is transitioning from singular process innovation to a systematic enhancement of platform capabilities. Replacing traditional FMM with "photolithographic patterning", it features independent sub-pixels and high precision, significantly unlocking the potential of AMOLED in terms of lifespan, brightness, resolution, and shape.

The "ViP+" solutions showcased here further demonstrate that this technology has evolved from the "feasibility verification" stage into "performance expansion". Medium-sized laptops equipped with the ViP+Tandem technology feature a Real RGB stripe arrangement, offering more accurate color reproduction and sharper lines compared to FMM OLED. At 4K ultra-high definition resolution, images get further immersive, and power consumption is reduced by 10% compared to similar products in daily usage scenarios, ensuring a longer battery life.As a "platform-based" display technology, ViP continuously has demonstrated its extensive technical possibilities. The integration of ViP++CIE enables enhanced visible brightness, 40% improvement on brightness reduction at the angle of 75° (compared with COE), a wider color gamut coverage, and a lower screen power consumption (25% decreased compared with POL).

COE

OLED Display Performance Improved with a System-Level Leap

The industry has witnessed a surge in display technology requirements in terms of low power consumption, high brightness and environmental adaptability. OLED is also entering an era of "high image quality".

The COE technology addresses the long-standing trade-offs of OLED in terms of brightness, reflectivity, power consumption, and thickness by replacing conventional polarizers with color filters. At the exhibition, Visionox debuted the ultra-high-quality COE flexible OLED solution to the globe. It achieves an extremely low reflectivity (<5%), along with the reflected chromaticity a* (0 to -1)/b* (-1 to -2), delivering superior screen-off effects. Compared with traditional screens, it reduces the thickness of the entire module by 100μm, further strengthening OLED's advantages in the application of ultra-thin and lightweight terminals. The COE+Tandem solution integrates tandem devices with color filters, achieving extremely high brightness, with HBM brightness up to 4800 nit. The ultra-wide color gamut COE flexible OLED solution further achieves a 97% BT.2020 color gamut coverage.

Currently, the display industry is rapidly deepening its integration with new applications such as AI terminals, smart vehicles, XR, and spatial computing. As a result, the demand for higher display performance rises in terms of brightness, power consumption, interaction, and morphological flexibility. Visionox has continued to break through with COE and ViP as its core technologies, opening up broader development opportunities for OLED. Visionox will continue to deepen innovation and exploration around OLED and next-generation display technology, driving the global display industry toward an advanced development stage characterized by high image quality, lower power consumption, and improved intelligence.
