From May 12 to 17, 2024, local time, the Display Week organized by the Society for Information Display (SID) (SID DW 2024) was held at the San Jose Convention Center in California, USA. As the most influential professional event in the global display field, the SID exhibition brings together top manufacturers, research institutions, and industry leaders to showcase and discuss the latest technologies and innovative achievements in the display industry. Dr. Fengying Xu, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Visionox, participated in the opening ceremony of the SID DW 2024.

At the exhibition, Visionox launched several world-leading innovative technologies, covering small, medium, large, and full sizes, while showcasing innovative applications in three major areas, i.e., intelligent automotive, smart home, and smart office. Launch of five world-leading new technologies

As a "showcase" for the technological competition in the global display industry, the SID exhibition introduces several new technologies and applications every year. Visionox, as one of its regular representatives, presented 5 world-leading new technologies this year , including:

· AMOLED Real In-cell TP integrated touch control solution

· Small foldable primary and secondary screen integrated solution

In addition, Visionox has introduced industry-leading new technologies and applications that cover small, medium, large, and full sizes, promoting display performance upgrades and expanding their new application scenarios via innovation.

All coverage of small-, medium-, large-, and full-size technologies

In 2021, Visionox announced its mid-term (five-year) development strategy of “One-strong & Two-new”. Now, it has made innovative advancements in different dimensions across small-, medium-, large-, and full-size fields. By leveraging its deep accumulation in the small-size field, technological breakthroughs in medium-sized products, and forward-looking layouts in large-sized displays, Visionox is driving the OLED and Micro LED technologies across different fields to meet the diverse demands ranging from wearable devices and smartphones to vehicle-mounted displays, smart homes, and even commercial displays.

In the small-size sector, Visionox has made continuous improvements in performance, form, and integration. After pursuing after differentiated forms in the AMOLED technology during the peak period, Visionox has shifted its development focus to further enhancement of performance. Visionox has optimized and upgraded display performance, form, and integrated functions. Among them, performance refinement has led to lower power consumption solutions such as MLA+COE/UBA+COE; launched innovative forms include the four-sided narrow bezel 2K mobile phone display solution and the 3D spherical bonding wearable display solution; and smarter screen integration solutions include the screen directional sound integration technology, dual-band dual-polarization AMOLED 5G millimeter-wave on-screen antenna technology, and AMOLED on-screen integration of electromagnetic touch control and capacitive touch control.

In the medium-size sector, Visionox has released a series of new technologies with a solid foundation, embracing new demands for market applications with innovation capability. Based on the requirements for low power consumption and high definition in the medium size category, Visionox has launched a series of solutions including the medium-sized 20-640Hz wide-band LTPS technology, smart zoning multi-frequency technology, AMOLED all-oxide medium-size technology, and AMOLED curved floating display. Visionox is well-prepared to fully meet market needs; at the same time, Visionox has also introduced multiple medium-sized innovative applications, encompassing three major areas, namely, smart automotive, smart home, and smart office, and opening up a new experience in the smart vision.

In the large-size sector, Visionox is moving from pilot testing to mass production. Micro-LED is a new track for Visionox's display layout. In September 2023, VISTAR, one of Visionox joint ventures, laid the foundation for the world's first TFT-based Micro-LED production line, accelerating the transition from pilot R&D to commercialization. At this exhibition, VISTAR showcased the world's leading 88-inch P0.5 TFT-based Micro-LED splicing display with front maintenance, which can be used in commercial displays, command and dispatch, high-end meetings, and other scenarios.

In the full-size sector, there is a rapid increase in yield. Visionox globally launched the ViP technology for the first time in May 2023, and lit the first module of the ViP AMOLED mass production project in December of the same year, achieving a key leap towards large-scale production. A year later, Visionox presented the results of the G6 small-scale production line based on the ViP technology at the SID exhibition.

Eleven high-quality technical reports

During the exhibition, Visionox actively participated in academic exchanges and presented 11 high-quality reports, covering three major themes, i.e., integration, medium size, and performance enhancement. These reports provide in-depth insights into Visionox's methods and achievements in “expanding vision and enhancing human visual enjoyment”.
